Rachel Murphy is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound Toto had last weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.
Rachel told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Toto r's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."
Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
Rachel took Toto right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse. San Jose has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.
Rachel described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas, a customer of Wow! My Dog, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.

Wow! My Dog also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. Rachel shared: "Juliann told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Juliann claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."
Gate News called Wow! My Dog, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they animal abuse education were investigating these allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
